A small amount to support the Initiative and help growers. The HCP offers an important new way to protect and preserve the finest flavor cacao for future generations. Farmers and chocolate makers who have applied to have their cacao samples evaluated through the HCP Program less than one third of the direct costs of tasting evaluation, field sampling and genetic identification. The other 54% is paid by the HCP itself which is supported by donations from people like you. The number of cacao samples the HCP Program can accept is determined by that available funding.
For only a small donation of $50.00 US, you can help us to give more cacao farmers an opportunity to have the flavor quality of the beans produced by their trees evaluated and identified. Your donation will be applied directly to the DNA Field Data Gathering and Genetic Testing costs associated with each application.
