In celebration of our approval for 501(c)(3) status, the Heirloom Cacao Preservation Fund would like to introduce its new logo. A big thank you to designer, Sharon Klein of SKGD and HCP Board Member Clark Guittard for all of their hard work. In describing her design, Sharon states:
“We created this inspirational icon and logo for the not-for-profit organization Heirloom Cacao Preservation Fund. It was paramount to incorporate into the icon the people involved in the cacao process – the farmer as well as the person who buys this special chocolate. The equal importance of the cacao pods on the tree was accomplished by making them over-sized and as colorful as they are in nature. The logo in its vertical format will be placed on all packaging utilizing Heirloom beans designated by the HCP. The HCP collaborates with the USDA and together with chocolate industry professionals, chocolate makers, farmers, and chocolate enthusiasts from around the world are determined to save the quickly diminishing Theobroma cacao trees that produce the most high quality, flavorful chocolate and certify the farmers who grow them”.
